In Picture Book Playmakers, we don’t just read the story, we step inside it.
Campers explore a beloved piece of children's literature (picture book or fairy tale) and turn it into a piece of theatre together.
Through creative drama games, movement, and storytelling, campers bring characters to life while working together to build a play inspired by the story.
Along the way they practice imagination, collaboration, and creative problem-solving as they explore what happens when a story becomes a living world.
This camp is a joyful introduction to theatre-making for young creators who love stories, play, and big ideas.
At the end of the week, families are invited to see the story come to life during our friday afternoon Story Reveal, a joyful moment when campers bring their week of imagination and collaboration to life.
